CantonCanton is located along Baltimore's outer harbor in the southeastern section of the city. Canton is traditionally considered centered around O'Donnell Square. O'Donnell Square is home to several bars and restaurants, an art gallery, a coffee shop and a number of other businesses and residences, as well as a former fire station.

In recent years new developments have added other focus areas to the neighborhood, including the Canton Waterfront Park & Maryland Korean War Memorial, the rehabilitated American Can Company, two marinas and a public boat launch, the DuBurns Soccer Arena, and many other bars and restaurants.

Fells Point

Fells Point is home to a variety of shops, coffee bars, restaurants, music stores, and over 120 pubs. Located on the harbor and famous for its maritime past, it now boasts the greatest concentration of pubs and bars in the city. This waterfront community is a much-visited location in Baltimore, accessible by water taxi, freeway, and several bus lines.

The neighborhood has been the home of large, Irish, and populations throughout its history. In recent years an ever-greater number of yuppies have also moved into the neighborhood, being brought in by the gentrification of the area. Fells Point is one of several areas in and around Baltimore that are listed on the National Register of Historic Districts.

Federal HillFederal Hill is named for the prominent hill that is easily viewed from the Inner Harbor area, to which the neighborhood forms the physical south boundary. The hillside is a lush green and serves as a community park. The neighborhood occupies the northwestern part of the South Baltimore Peninsula.

The recently-renovated historic Cross Street marketplace built in the 19th century continues to serve residents and is the primary social and commercial hub for the neighborhood. The primary business district is home to restaurants of a wide range of taste, quality, and price, and many small shops as well as a few larger, more practical stores. The neighborhood is a popular destination for tavern goers and music lovers, with street festivals several times a year.

Roland Park is the first planned "suburban" community in North America. Located in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. It was developed between 1890 and 1920 as an upper-class streetcar suburb. The early phases of the neighborhood were designed by Edward Bouton and Frederick Law Olmsted, Jr. The neighborhood his home to several elite private schools such as Friends School of Baltimore, Gilman School, Roland Park Country School, the Bryn Mawr School, and Boys' Latin School of Maryland (collectively known as the Roland Park Five to locals). Tree-lined streets, old mansions, and manicured lawns make this area highly desirable, and therefore highly expensive.

St. Mary's Seminary and University is currently located in Roland Park. The Baltimore Light Rail's Coldspring Lane station is within walking distance of much of the neighborhood, just across the Jones Falls Expressway to the west.

GuilfordGuilford On the morning of Friday, May 9, 1913, there appeared in the Baltimore newspapers a full page advertisement stating that "ten days hence home sites would be offered for sale for the first time".  Once the Roland Park Company completed the sale of all lots in Guilford it assigned to the Guilford Association, Inc. all its remaining rights and powers.

Guilford is home to Sherwood Gardens, more than six acres in size, it has no gates, fences or other barriers.  The public may stroll at leisure through the grounds.  There is no admission charge and a reservation is not required. Approximately 80,000 tulip bulbs are planted annually along with other spring flowering bulbs.  Dogwoods, wisteria and magnolias bloom throughout the garden.  Adding to the beauty and uniqueness of the present day garden are the numerous varieties of rare trees brightly colored azaleas and old boxwoods dating back as far as the 18th century.

Homeland is located in northern Baltimore City, a neighborhood rich in architecture and landscape design. A variety of building styles gives the neighborhood its special aesthetic appeal. Every home, from the most grand to the more modest, demonstrates the qualities that have made Homeland an enduring neighborhood for over seventy-five years.

The planners of Homeland took advantage of the local topography, designing homes to fit sympathetically into it.  This is in no special measure due to the skill of the Olmsted Brothers, designers of New Yorks Central Park, who laid out the neighborhood and created the common areas and special features such as the six decorative lakes located in the center of the neighborhood. Homeland has an abundance of common areas that add interest to the landscape of  the community and provide large and small open spaces that are shared by all residents.

Ruxton and Riderwood are unincorporated areas in Baltimore County, Maryland. They are sometimes considered a part of Towson and are part of Towson's census area. Ruxton was once the location of the country estates of Baltimore's rich and famous. Though the area became suburbanized during the course of the twentieth century, Ruxton is still considered one of the premier neighborhoods in the Baltimore area, along with Roland Park, Homeland, Guilford, and the Falls Road corridor. Many of the original estates still remain, though there have been many new homes built between them. In 1994, the movie Serial Mom was filmed in Ruxton at the Church of the Good Shepherd, on Boyce Avenue.
